From Scoutmaster Maney's Backpack (10/20/14)

Good morning ALL,


Thank you to hose who helped with the Adopt-A-Highway clean up.  It did not take too long to get it done.  Thank you to JASM Nick Armstrong for heading this up for our Troop this year.

The St. Anthony's Backpacking trip was an AWESOME WEEEKND!!!!  The Scouts and Leaders that went saw the changed leaves, went across a rope bridge, repelled, climbed a bridge abutment using finger holds and small footholds and completed a 2 mile compass course in the dense forest.  Thank you to ASMs Mr. Latanishen, Schouten and Maney for heading this up.  And Mrs. Schouten for the GREAT STEW!!!

This week we have a Troop Meeting starting at 7:30 PM.  Wear your Class A uniform and bring your Scout handbook.  We will start the Gold Nugget Program this week.  Ask your Patrol Leader about it.  We will be having Webelos from Pack 100 coming to visit us - let's show them what a great troop we have!

New Troop 142 Eagles Scouts #'s 130 & 131

Congratulations to our latest 2 Troop 142 scouts to attain the rank of Eagle Scout following their Eagle Board of Reviews on 10/15/14:

Help Needed: Cody Souders Eagle Scout Project

ALL T142 Scouts:

My eagle project will be a stone paver patio and will be built at St.Thomas Episcopal Church in Lancaster,  301 St Thomas Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601

The dates are October 18th and October 25 from 10am-2pm each day.

Scouts can stay for however long they are able to help and food will be provided. I will need help spreading sand and stone dust and placing pavers. Shovels and metal rakes would be appreciated if scouts have any.
